Water Balance Lead - Resource Strategy @Southern Water

As Water Balance Lead at Southern Water, I am responsible for end-to-end ownership of the Water Balance process, ensuring regulatory compliance, data integrity, and performance optimisation across the water network.My role involves delivering accurate top-down and bottom-up assessments, generating actionable insights to improve asset efficiency, and supporting the achievement of regulatory targets (PR24 and beyond). I work closely with cross-functional teams to prioritise data improvement initiatives, reduce reporting discrepancies, and influence operational strategy.Key responsibilities include:Leading monthly, quarterly and yearly Water Balance calculations in line with corporate methodologySupporting audit and assurance processes with robust data and analysisEnhancing reporting accuracy to drive a target discrepancy of less than 2%Providing insight into Distribution Input, Deployable Output, and leakage metricsEngaging stakeholders across the business to drive data-led decision-makingThis role sits at the intersection of regulatory compliance, asset strategy, and data analytics—contributing directly to Southern Water’s long-term goals of resilience, sustainability, and water efficiency.
