ABOUT JACK SHENG

Jack Sheng builds and scales ecommerce enterprises across multiple verticals by teaming up with major retailers, marketplaces, technology providers and global logistics partners. As a tech entrepreneur, Jack has leveraged his leadership skill and know-how in data mining, machine learning, ERP and product management skills to maximize the sales potential of consumer products.Jack is passionate about technology in ecommerce and marketplace development. He often engaged with major retailers in the early stages of marketplace development as well as logistics solutions. Over the past 20 years, Jack worked with dozens of retailers on launching marketplaces and their logistics services. In fact, his first venture, eForCity, was often the largest player in each segment. As early as 2008, eForCity, was the largest seller at eBay reaching a million feedback. A conference at eBay’s headquarters was named after him. Subsequently, eForCity became a major player at most of the marketplaces. It was featured at many media outlets ranging from the Wall Street Journal, Time, Associated Press and more. Jack was also one of the first to deploy the latest solutions in logistics from zone skipping to asset light 3PL.As a personal mission, Jack has been fully committed to reducing packaging and shipping waste long before industry terms such as Frustration Free Packaging came about. All of Jack’s products were free of retail packaging and were optimized for shipping at reduced DIM and weight. In fact, most of the shipping materials used were made of recycled polyethylene with shipping info directly printed on the packaging. No shipping labels were used. The savings from reduced shipping weight were then passed on to customers. The reduced carbon footprint and trees saved were givebacks to our society.Jack is currently advising private equity companies and startups in ecommerce, scalability and logistics. He also sits on the Board of Industry Leaders at Consumer Technology Association to advocate for industry initiatives.
