About Emily Gomez
Hello! My name is Emily Gomez and I am a psychology major at Carnegie Mellon University. My interests lie in clinical applications of psychology (psychotherapy) and cognitive neuroscience. For two semesters now, I have been working in a neuroscience lab recruiting control and experimental participants, running training behavioral sessions, and analyzing functional and structural MRI results. I am currently interning at Crisis Text Line where we are trained to de-escalate situations and provide emotional support to texters who are in crisis. These rewarding opportunities have allowed me to work with a diverse population and honed my skills in analysis and problem solving. I am currently looking for clinical or research positions that help me gain experience with understanding behavior and neurological disorders, and I believe that my background has helped me develop into a valuable asset.
