ABOUT CHUKWUEMEKA NWUBA
Dr Chukwuemeka \"Chuks\" Nwuba is a London-based medical doctor in psychiatry and author. He is the co-founder at Club Majority, a community-driven platform for underrepresented people with eating disorders and disordered eating. He regularly speaks on eating disorders in underrepresented groups at conferences across the world. He is co-founder of ed/md, the world\'s first eating disorders conference for medical students. His prize-winning essay on eating disorders and race-related issues, Leanne, was published by the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2021. In 2024, he published his first book, Eating Disorders Don\'t Discriminate.He was voted on the list of Powerful Media\'s Top 10 Black Future Leaders 2017-18. He is a Clinical Advisor for Rethink Mental Illness and Mind of the Student charities, and a member of the Association of Black Psychiatrists. His work has been featured in The Lancet, Men\'s Health, Yahoo! and on ITV, Channel 4, BBC, among several others. In 2024, he was shortlisted for the Core Psychiatric Trainee of the Year at the Royal College of Psychiatrists Awards.
