ABOUT JAMES DOUGLASS
James Douglass represents five generations of property management and real estate sales at Douglass Management, Inc. James is a licensed real estate broker and committee member of the Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors (GCAAR). He manages properties around the upper Northwest area of Washington DC; from Glover Park and Adams Morgan to Chevy Chase. Before becoming licensed, James spent over two years assisting law enforcement around the country and internationally at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), as well as many years in the entertainment industry throughout the greater Washington DC area and New York City. At IACP he ran the administrative and logistical duties of the Center for Police Leadership & Training division. In the entertainment industry, James worked predominantly in the theatre community and provided support to local film projects. This involved numerous capacities ranging from stage hand, carpenter, and electrician, to production management as well as technical direction. In recent years James has turned his attentions from strengthening communities through culture, the arts, and better law enforcement, to better living through property management. In his spare time, James still retains interests in the theatre community and supports the local arts through promoting, investing, and volunteering with small or community theater companies.
