ABOUT DAVID CRANE

Prior to emigrating to Canada 1994, I worked for a large civil engineering contractor working on major infrastructure projects located throughout the United Kingdom. Upon arrival to Canada, I began working for a national construction cost consulting firm located in Ottawa as an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor / Estimator, ultimately progressing in the company to the position of Vice President of operations in the Prairies. During my working life with this firm I lived and worked not only in Ottawa, but also in Edmonton, Winnipeg and today in Calgary.I have a vast amount of project and construction cost expertise, and not only have first hand understanding of the Southern Alberta and Calgary construction marketplace but also a detailed understanding of construction markets located throughout Manitoba, Saskatchewan and the rest of Alberta. My appreciation and on-the-ground experience of these construction markets has proven time after time my ability to maximize any budget as well as add value for every dollar spent on a project and reduce the risk of project failure.Over the years I have advised and guided numerous clients through difficult markets ensuring project success regardless of size and complexity. My involvement regardless of size and complexity of a project is of a ‘hands on’ role regardless of task, I am accountable for ensuring all service quality, accuracy, and on‐time delivery of every task. I am also responsible for ensuring that all objectives are clearly understood and ultimately attained, ensure adherence to all service schedules and deadlines, I will also conduct internal peer reviews of all deliverables prior to issuance, and attend all key project meetings as necessary.I am unique in the cost consulting industry having been exposed to numerous types of projects located throughout the Prairies.
