About Daniel Tan

Brazilian born, New Orleans raised. I have worked in art, performing arts, manufacturing, product development, and am an attorney barred in Louisiana and Georgia. No matter the job I am a solutions driven person who seeks to incorporate my experience to assist clients in meeting their needs. I do not believe in working with people, I collaborate with them. As an artist, I translated client\'s desires into finalized designs. At Unistar Plastics, I actualized market potential into profit or created new opportunities through innovation. While at Emory Law, I participated in interdisciplinary programs which combined innovation with entrepreneurship to take ideas to markets. From defining an idea to realizing potential, I am adept at operating within the innovation cycle.With Acronym, I researched real estate market data including foreclosures, development trends, and civil planning initiatives. This research translated into strategic purchase, development, and rental of multiple profitable investments.My legal experience has been concentrated in commercial transactions, but I also advise my clients on various other topics such as intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and employment law.My scholarship includes publication in the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal and two presentations at the Georgia bar for the Privacy and Technology Law Section.Acronym Presents is an entertainment company focusing mostly in immersive theater. Our most recent production in collaboration with Sinking Ship Creations was the Mortality Machine. This project was billed as immersive theater event which provided participants active roles in the performance and everyone had the agency to determine how the performance ended. I am a team player with excellent quantitative skills: computer-literate; oral, written, and interpersonal communicator and presenter; fluent in Brazilian Portuguese; basic Spanish; proficient in Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis, Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.No matter the work I do, I believe in enabling others to ensure we can actualize our potential through collaboration.
