Mr. Czarnecki is the Founder and Chairman of the non-profit (501 (c)(3)) National Leadership Institute (NLI) which is committed to providing support to leaders of nonprofit and for profit organizations who recognize that the core mission of their organization cannot be achieved without effective strategic leadership and governance at the board of directors level as well as the entire executive team.Our mission is to support engaged boards of directors in their efforts to improve their own performance, while working with the executive leadership to enhance the performance of the organization through robust learning about the core disciplines of Strategic Leadership & Governance in the 21st Century. ABOUT GERALD CZARNECKI
Mr. Czarnecki (Gerry) is Chairman & CEO of The Deltennium Group, Inc, a consulting practice helping individuals and organizations with effective strategic marketing, managerial leadership and board governance. Mr. Czarnecki held a number of executive positions in the banking and financial services including General Manager of the 4th largest bank Trust Department in the country; CFO of the 8th largest bank holding company; the CEO of a large, publicly held bank and another large privately held bank owned by an investor group headed by former Secretary of the Treasury, William Simon. In 1993 Mr. Czarnecki joined Louis Gerstner at IBM Corporation, serving as an IBM Senior Vice President for Human Resources and Administration. Later he was President of UNC, Inc, a NYSE aviation company. Mr. Czarnecki holds a B.S. in Economics from Temple University, an M.A. in Economics from Michigan State University, is a Certified Public Accountant and has a Doctor of Humane Letters from National University. He is also a member of the board of directors: State Farm Insurance, where he serves as member of the company Executive Committee, and is also Chairman of the Audit Committee; State Farm Bank; State Farm Fire & Casualty companies; and MAM Software Group, Inc, where he is the Chairman of the Board. He is also the founder and Chairman of The National Leadership Institute: a member of the Board of Trustees of National University, where he is former Chairman; the Board of Governors of Junior Achievement Worldwide, Inc; an advisory board member for Private Capital, Inc; Chairman of the National Association of Corporate Directors-Florida Chapter, is an NACD Board Leadership Fellow, and is a frequent consultant, facilitator, faculty member and speaker on Board Governance matters.Specialties: Helps organizations achieve peak performance through effective leadership, focused strategy, effective organization and sound financial management. His first book, You’re In Charge…What Now? In addition, he has four new books on leadership that will be published in 2008. In addition, he has written a book entitled, You’re a Non-profit Director…What Now, which is a primer on corporate governance principles for non-profit organizations.
