Key responsibilities of role:- Leading delivery of multiple large-scale infrastructure and amenity projects, aligning consultants, contractors and operational teams to achieve cost, programme and quality objectives. - Shaping procurement strategies and managing contracts to balance cost, quality and risk, enabling efficient delivery across complex multiphase workstreams. - Overseeing technical due diligence and supporting land sale assessments, evaluating viability, risk and opportunity across complex MOD brownfield and private greenfield sites. - Developing and managing project budgets, programmes and performance reporting providing senior boards with clear visibility of progress, risks and key decision points. - Managing multidisciplinary teams through planning submissions, technical Approvals, legal agreements and environmental assessments ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and corporate standards. - Embedding sustainability, environmental and operational requirements into design and construction, ensuring safe, functional handover of roads, drainage, community facilities, open spaces and community assets. - Engaging with local authorities, statutory bodies, residents and MOD stakeholders to resolve issues, secure approvals and maintain project support. - Facilitating collaboration between design, construction and adoption teams to ensure seamless transition into long-term management and operation with various stakeholders. - Driving knowledge sharing and continuous improvement, embedding standardised systems and strengthening Grainger’s project delivery capability. - Providing line management and strategic guidance to a Community Development Manager, ensuring effective delivery of social value, resident engagement and placemaking in line with overarching development goals.
