ABOUT FAYE TAYLOR

Passionate about the power of online learning and ethical travel as a source of high quality, transformative education, connect people globally, and broadening horizons.In 2023 I created my own freelance digital academic consultancy, The Brave Consults, through which I have become engaged in a variety of education projects that speak to my values as an experienced ethical educator, with over 13 years\' experience designing, authoring, delivering and managing online learning experiences and over 20 years delivering face to face teaching. The Brave has grown to serve my other passion; travel (via The Brave Stays and The Brave Advocates). Seeking to identify, unite and advocate exceptional businesses acting differently and responsibly to bring authentic, enriching, immersive, educational and wellness-focused, quality travel experiences to their guests, the world over. I am also an experienced lecturer of 20 years in Higher Education in Leadership, Management and Personal Development, with specialism in Development Theory and Destination Planning, Sustainable Development and Responsible Leadership, Development Ethics, Political Economy of Development and Crisis Management. I have particular research interests in the Social Impacts of Tourism, Tourism and Development Ethics, Tourist Behaviour and Cultural attitudes to Sustainability and continue to pursue future research on Wellbeing within Tourism, Ethics of Tourism Development, Leadership Ethics, and Micro-adventure.My PhD concerned the influence of Political Economy and Interpretations of Sustainability upon the Post Disaster Redevelopment of Phi Phi Don Island, Thailand.
