About Allison Scott
Education matters. Educators matter. How schools are structured and led, what we teach, how we teach, what is assessed, and how students are affirmed and supported all contribute to student well-being, academic achievement, and success in and beyond the classroom. Education is critical in shaping the individuals who shape society. The challenging, complex, rewarding work of educating young people is the foundation of our society and its hope for the future. As a senior acquisitions editor, I strive to support preK-12 educators with books that help them do their jobs more effectively, sustainably, and passionately. I work with educational experts to translate research to practice on a range of topics, including leadership, math, science, curriculum development, instruction, assessment, and student engagement. Ensuring that all students and educators are equitably and compassionately supported is central to my work. For my authors, I serve as a thought partner and advocate. Together, we determine how best to translate your expertise into a compelling, actionable guide that will impact practice, making a difference in the lives of educators and students. From clarifying the idea of the book, developing its structure, providing feedback during the writing process, and supporting the marketing and promotion of the published work, I\'m with you every step of the way. Ideas can change the world. Let\'s change it together.
