Supervises and assists in the implementation of the Partners in Education Program which includes Adopt-A-School, Specialty Partners, and Volunteers. • Develops, enhances and maintains effective strategic partnerships throughout the Jackson Public School District with the business sector, the nonprofit sector, arts and creative economy, other government agencies, municipalities, public and private universities and colleges, faith-based organizations, community foundations, United Way, the Chamber of Commerce and other stakeholders • Oversees the ongoing development of the Adopter School Program to engage JPS partners to support the District’s strategic plan initiatives • Develops a training and support plan for community-based “Collective Impact” models • Collaborates with key staff to collect and analyze data and submit reports on the impact of community initiatives and partnerships • Serves as a source of information for the community regarding volunteer opportunities in JPS in addition to developing and producing materials for training of volunteers • Writes grants to support volunteerism in the schools • Facilitates the Education Foundation Trust grant rounds and serves as the fund advisor representing JPS on the Community Foundation EFT Fund • Solicits donations in the community for the PIE Store and schools in general and oversees operation of the store • Serves as liaison for the District on Chamber of Commerce education-related committees • Serves as a liaison with the Junior League’s mini-grant program • Assists with other JPSD activities as requested by the executive director of public engagement and the superintendent
