Dave currently serves on the Board of Directors for the non-profit organization Young People in Recovery (YPR), a national grassroots advocacy organization focused on creating recovery-ready communities throughout the nation for young people in, or seeking, recovery. The mission for YPR is to promote active, healthy, productive lives for young people in or seeking recovery. This is accomplished by doing the following: Advocate for policies and resources that help young people achieve and maintain recovery from addiction. Educate young people in recovery, decision-makers, and the public about the benefits of improved recovery-related resources for young people. Collaborate with individuals, communities, organizations, and policy makers to develop sound policies, resources, and programs that promote productive citizenship.
