WORK HISTORY
Research Panelist @Scope
A research panelist is an individual with lived experience of having a disability who participates in research, e.g. taking part in opinion polls, surveys, focus groups and interviews.🧠 Honoured to contribute as a Research Panellist with Scope UK, where I use lived experience of disability to shape evidence-led, inclusive change.Since joining, I have: Participated in 28+ research projects (as of May 2025), including: Focus groups and interviews shaping improvements in education, public transport, healthcare, and digital access. Opinion polls and surveys consulted by local authorities, third-sector organisations, and digital inclusion teams. I contributed to the redesign of accessible websites for children and families with disabilities — advising on:Navigation improvements, simplified formatting, and alternative text options.Creative use of assistive technologies to increase ease of access for diverse users. Through this role, I’ve also:Strengthened skills in data analysis, research ethics, and digital literacy.Developed confident communication and articulation of lived experience in formats used by researchers, charities, and government teams.Provided feedback on projects with a cumulative outreach potential of service users. This work reminds me how vital it is for authentic voices to be included at the heart of research and development.
