ABOUT JONATHAN HERNANDEZ

I am an IS Security and Risk Professional II at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. I have diverse cybersecurity skills that makes me a versatile professional. I supported the implementation and maintenance of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) practices and methodologies using a GRC platform. I also conduct and support different security regulatory compliance assessments such as SWIFT and PCI-DSS standards requirements, ensuring that controls are adequate, appropriate, and effective.I also developed a diverse skill set in web application penetration testing, secure coding practices, and OWASP framework. I have successfully audited in-house software for vulnerabilities, provided remediation guidance to software development teams, and coordinated and facilitated pen tests by third-party vendors. I have also demonstrated my leadership and communication skills by developing and publishing enterprise information security policies and procedures, developing and enhancing the company\'s security awareness program, and providing webinars and presentations on cybersecurity topics as a resource speaker and a non-profit cybersecurity lead. I hold a Bachelor\'s degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University, and several certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), ITIL Foundations v3, CompTIA Security+, PCI-Professional, OpenFAIR, AWS Cloud Practitioner, and Project+. I am passionate about learning new technologies and trends in cybersecurity and contributing to the security and resilience of the digital world.
