About Thane Larson

As an architect, I\'ve design computer server systems. I have worked with many types of architectures including x86, Itanium, Atom and PA-RISC based systems. I designed RASM (Reliability, Availability, Serviceability and Manageability) capabilities into systems and am very proficient at UNIX. I\'ve coordinated and lead team members with diverse geographies and talents. I\'ve participated in standards comittees, written whitepapers and assisted marketing by giving presentations to customers.As a hardware engineer, I\'ve done schematic capture, CAD layout, circuit debug, and test.As a superconductor research scientist, I wrote research papers. I measured magnetic and current capabilities of superconductors with extreme electrical and magnetic conditions (k-amps, nano-volts and 20 Tesla). I designed, machined and assembled custom devices for measurements.Specialties: computer server architecture, data acquisition, scripting, leading people, customer support, and solid-state physics. I hold over 46 US, 28 GB, and 11 JP patents.
