Deep Science Ventures is creating a future where humanity and the planet thrive, combining available scientific knowledge and founder-type scientists into high impact ventures. Deep Science Ventures operates in 4 sectors: Agriculture, Climate, Computation and Pharmaceuticals, tackling the challenges defining those areas by taking a first-principles approach and partnering with leading institutions.Thane is Dean for Deep Science Ventures College where he is launching a new PhD program, the Venture Science Doctorate. Thane designed the Venture Science Doctorate and onboarded its universities and national labs. His PhD in Immunology and AI was completed with GlaxoSmithKline. He was a recipient of the BBSRC Recognising Excllence in Knowledge Transfer Award and a Roche Continents Fellow. Thane is fascinated by the intersection of inclusion, innovation models and science policy, where he aims to exponentially scale the number of people working on the world\'s hardest problems. Backed by Innovate UK, Anglo American and Schmidt Futures, The Venture Science Doctorate\'s collaborative platform spans academia, industry, governments and investors, across five continents. By 2033, this ecosystem will train “Venture Scientists” every year, as a coordinated community tackling our most complex global challenges.
