ABOUT THANASIS GEORGIOU
After completing a PhD with Nobel Laureate Konstantin Novoselov I developed a broad interest in the commercialisation of new technologies across a range of deep technology sectors.I have a record of identifying emerging technologies meeting industrial innovation triggers through meticulous identification of key performance indicators, managing projects from initial research to proof-of-concept, securing grant funding, drafting business plans and executing them in order to launch products and establish successful routes to market and secure company growth. Since completing my PhD I have assisted or founded companies operating in separate industry verticals. My duties and responsibilities are wide-ranging and include skills traditionally held by posts such as technical director, business development and finance director. I am as comfortable in a laboratory experimenting with novel technologies as in a board room discussing strategy and financial forecasts.
