About Thalina Salinas
My insurance career started during my last semester at UT Dallas. For my marketing and sales internship requirement, I was a commercial insurance sales intern at CoVerica Insurance, where I was first introduced to commercial insurance. While at CoVerica, I helped producers schedule introductory meetings with prospective clients about the company\'s coverage offerings. For four years, my career in insurance shifted into recruiting account management at Questpro. At Questpro, I supported several recruiters in connecting with candidates in the property and casualty insurance industry. There I learned about the different functions that carriers, agencies, wholesale broker and MGAs have. I am now an Associate Underwriter at Amwins Access where I am learning about specialty risks and non-admitted carrier appetites.
