Thais Fontes is a certified UX Designer based in NYC. With an activism background, she\'s always aiming to leverage her abilities to successfully craft meaningful digital products by using human centered and data driven design with a social point of view, focused on how design can be a driver of social change. Thais is a professional with over a year experience looking for opportunities to use design as a tool to leverage the human experience. User Research * Website * Mobile * Webflow My Story My interest on design started when I began handling social media for a restaurant chain and slowly transitioned to a graphic design role but it really took off once it blended with my other passion: activism. I was doing graphic design for the student\'s union I helped create and manage in Law school, that\'s when I realized I wanted to transition to a career in design. As an activist, I see design as a powerful tool to drive social change, as proven by companies like IDEO and Too Good To Go, and of course to make technology accessible and user friendly. While learning UX design, I worked as a child caregiver, which helped foster empathy and where I learned how to think with my hands, a useful skill for sketching and prototyping.
