ABOUT THIERRY FARGÈRE

I started by practicing the fascinating profession of researcher in Materials Science. After having oscillated between theoretical work and concrete and tangible achievements, I finally decided to join the industry for positions of R&D manager and project manager.These years have been captivating in every sense of the word: the pleasures and complexities of team management, excitement of customer challenges and projects, travel and discoveries of other factories / processes and the people involved, greatness and pettiness of company policies, advanced techniques and technical improvisations. I also discovered, at the turn of a training, the techniques of creativity, sets of methods which make it possible to think differently.A little disappointed and restrained in my desire to innovate, I turned to consulting. I first worked as a Senior Consultant in firms to discover the profession while training myself more seriously in creativity techniques.This is how I created CORPEN®. And the chance of meetings and missions means that I also work as a professor at the Ecole Centrale de Lyon and at the University. So I came back to the crossroads of Industry and Research, which allows me to share the best of both with my clients and my students.
