Many years of geotechnical engineering experience on a wide variety of civil engineering projects including foundation design, site investigations, dam/dyke design, slope stability analysis, seepage analysis for earth structures and transportation projects- Experience in instrumentation monitoring and data interpretation- Experience in liquefaction assessment- Experience in the design of mining-related structures- Experience in investigating the cause of geotechnical failures in different structures and recommendation of appropriate remedial measures- Considerable experience in modern soil laboratory testing and lab data analyses; experience in the interpretation of geotechnical field and laboratory data for design purposes. Experience with testing and modeling of different soil types ranging from tropical residual soils to permafrost area frozen soil, from saturated to unsaturated state soils- Extensive experience in conducting lecture sessions of Civil Engineering courses (especially Geotechnical Engineering courses), both at graduate level and undergraduate level- Considerable research experience on constitutive modeling and characterization of soils ranging from tropical residual soils to frozen soils. Peer reviewer experience as a journal paper reviewer for many journals. Currently, I have a role as a design engineer at Amec Foster Wheeler in the Edmonton Geotechnical Division. My engineering role in different projects includes planning and implementation of site investigations, design and analyses, project management, report preparation, and follow-up inspections during construction phase.
