I am an economist who is interested in market design: how markets work, why they don’t, and how to fix them. I view “markets” very broadly as any resource allocation setting where incentives matter: markets don’t need to involve money or prices or even goods (though usually they do)! I have worked on matching systems, auctions, and complex trading systems across a number of areas from telecoms, energy and the dark web to fisheries, natural ecosystems and refugee resettlement.
