Serve as a main liaison between our broadcast rights holders and the clubs, coordinating meetings, solving problems, writing messaging, and organizing guests. Focus primarily on business communications, writing press releases, as well as planning and executing strategic media plans. This includes identifying and pitching to local and national print, tv, and radio outlets. Use Cision and Critical Mention to identify media contacts and run reports on media campaigns, as well as manage a media list of more than 700 individuals. Identify and build relationships with special guests/celebrity fans to bring them to the ballpark to engage with fans and help grow our brand. Work closely with departments throughout the organization on projects centered around club properties. Oversee all media parking and credentials, including local and national media. Also coordinate local and national media requests for player and coaches. Oversee two full-season interns. Oversee our team blog, Birdland Insider, brainstorming, writing and editing stories to help promote the Orioles brand.
