About Tessa Holder
Hello! I’m Tessa, a second-year Computer Science student at CSULB in the University Honors program and a proud recipient of the President’s Scholarship. I currently work as a Peer Mentor for first-year students through BeachXP and serve as Women in Computing’s Social Media Coordinator. These roles have strengthened my communication and leadership skills, allowing me to support fellow students while growing as a collaborator, organizer, and problem-solver. As an aspiring software engineer, I’m passionate about building applications that make a meaningful impact. I recently declared a minor in Cybersecurity Applications and a concentration in AI and Machine Learning, fields that fuel my curiosity and drive to understand how technology can be both innovative and secure. Whether I’m developing intuitive user experiences, exploring machine learning models, or learning how to protect systems from emerging threats, I’m motivated by a desire to create technology that is safer, smarter, and more human-centered.With a background in theatre, I bring creativity, empathy, and storytelling into my tech work to craft user experiences that resonate and solutions that inspire. I’m excited to continue my journey in the world of technology and push boundaries for women in STEM!
