ABOUT TESSA HOFMANN

I am a third-year accountancy student at Miami University. I am pursuing the Master of Accountancy (MAAC) Program, where I will graduate with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree and become CPA-eligible by May of 2027. As a student at the Farmer School of Business, I have developed strong technical skills in SQL, Python, JMP, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access. My coursework has further strengthened my abilities in time management, analytical thinking, and problem-solving. Additionally, Miami University\'s First Year Integrated Core (FYIC) Client Challenge has enhanced my interpersonal skills, particularly in conflict resolution, active listening, and adaptability. I am proud to have earned academic distinctions such as Redhawk Scholar, placement on the Dean’s List in Fall of 2023 and 2024, and the President’s List in Spring of 2024.Currently, I serve as a student assistant for a Business Computing class, where I help students tackle complex problems in Microsoft Excel and Access. I assist 32 students during class and offer weekly office hours for personalized guidance, dedicating additional time to preparing for each session. My involvement with Delta Delta Delta has expanded my campus network and allowed me to contribute to raising $100 million for St. Jude Children\'s Research Hospital as part of our 25-year partnership. Furthermore, as a member of the Miami University Student Foundation’s Membership Committee, I have had the privilege of connecting with alumni to raise funds that support the education of 10 students at Miami.I am excited to continue building my professional skills and experiences at Miami University and beyond.
