ABOUT TESSA BEETHAM
I am a Wellington based Structural Engineer with 17 years experience in the design and delivery of commercial, public and residential building structures. I have strong skills in the delivery of large, complex projects and am driven by the challenge of multi-disciplinary delivery, working with a varied group of people and coordinating to meet client and project objectives. I am passionate about structural design with a specific interest in creating seismically resilient solutions to ensure a high level of building performance. I am interested in the sustainability of our built environment and working with clients and stakeholders to explore the best solution for their specific project needs. Over my career I hope to contribute to developing a built environment for New Zealand that creates an outstanding user experience whilst remaining both resilient and sustainable. In July 2022 I took on the role of Structural Lead for the Aurecon Wellington team. This has given me the opportunity to work across the National Buildings Team at a strategic level to shape the future direction of the business. I am enjoying the leadership and people management challenges of this role. My goal is to create a supportive and inclusive work environment where all members of the team will contribute, innovate and grow to their full potential.
