About Teru Mitsuhara
Qualitative researcher with 14+ years of ethnographic research experience with diverse communities in the US and India. I’m a linguistic and socio-cultural anthropologist keenly interested in utopias and dystopias. My training with those who imagine and build alternative worlds helps me conduct UX research in industry. The research and interpersonal skills I draw from are classic anthropological ones such as an ability to listen, watch closely, and ask nuanced questions. My work with utopians has helped me furthermore feel comfortable making tangible recommendations for change based on individual and community feedback. When I\'m not working you can find me on stage doing standup or improv! I bring these presentation and teamwork skills to work and can problem solve with ease and joy;)
