About Tsedensodnom Terry Uranbold
I’m a graduate student at Duke University specializing in energy finance, project development, and global energy markets. My experience spans development finance, climate-tech investing, and mining strategy, from assessing multi-billion-dollar DOE investments at NRDC to modeling grid-reliability opportunities across 20+ African markets at the World Bank. I’ve worked on-site at the Oyu Tolgoi copper mine with Rio Tinto, supported international arbitration analysis, and built tools used by industry and Congressional stakeholders. As the founder of Polaris Energy Insights (16K+ readers), I translate complex energy-finance trends into accessible insights. I\'m passionate about global energy development, innovation, and finance. Outside of school and work, I’m an active rock climber and swimmer, and I enjoy painting and horseback riding.
