ABOUT TERRYN KUZYK
I am a run-of-the-mill environmental engineer turned mining enthusiast. I feel that \"geoenvironmental engineer\" captures that - I am an engineer, but I am not JUST environmental or JUST geological. I have taken my mish-mash of skills and interests in watershed hydrology, surface water management, and soil and groundwater contamination and now apply it to unique closure problems impacting mine sites globally. As an intensely curious person, I am always on the look out for ways that the industry can do better when it comes to closure and reclamation, and I think that integrating closure into life of mine plans is one fabulous and intuitive way to do that. So now, I try to help clients see the optimization potential of implementing integrated mine closure plans. When I am not solving the closure problems of the world, I am obsessing over the formatting of reports sent to our clients to ensure that the information is presented in a concise and accessible manner, or can be found digging, in the dirt, in the back yard.
