Maintenance of the IVF Laboratory on a day-to-day basis- Thorough knowledge of the principles and practice of laboratory sterile technique as well as awareness and application of sterile technique in the operating room when assisting in OPU, ET, MESA/PESA and TESE procedures- Performance of semen analysis to current WHO and ESHRE Andrology SIG standards when necessary, including the correct use of a phase contrast compound microscope- Performance of the various sperm preparation procedures described in the Laboratory Procedures Manual for either pre-treatment evaluation or actual therapeutic purposes (e.g. IUI, IVF, ICSI) using either fresh or previously cryopreserved semen samples- Performance of gamete cryostorage and maintenance of cryobank records- Preparation of results for entry into a computer database, prompt data entry, and preparation of laboratory reports for inclusion in patients’ notes.
