About Terry Hosaka
In April 2011, Cooper Zietz Engineers and Cascade Design Professionals – both Native American owned, both leaders in their fields – joined, cementing a long-term business relationship, expanding the range of our individual service capabilities, and creating opportunities to enter new markets. In February 2015, the firms completed a physical merging of offices and branding. As one entity, Akana serves clients through every stage of a project, from planning through design, construction, and commissioning. The new name is derived from the Arikara Indian concepts of akana\'u (to build) and akaanu\'(lodge).
