Selected as the department\'s first School Resource Officer (SRO) from 20••••04, and trained at the Federal level via the \"Cops-in-Schools\" initiative. Responsible for ground-up development of the SRO position, role elements, and activity. Provided ongoing student education in a variety of areas including alcohol and tobacco use, self-esteem building, problem-solving, conflict resolution, drug abuse, internet safety, bullying, peer mediation, and others, using both established programs as well as by developing tailored curricula.
