A distinguished leader in aerospace consulting and military aviation, with a career spanning over four decades of operational excellence, strategic innovation, and global leadership. Currently serving as President and owner of RIO Defense Development Group, and aerospace consulting firm serving clients across the United States and Asia.A 38 year career in the United States Marine Corps culminated in service as Commander of U.S. Marine Corps Forces Pacific-the Corps largest operational command-when he directed Marine Corps activities across the vast Asia-Pacific region. His previous leadership assignments included Deputy Commandant for Aviation, responsible for all Marine Corps procurement, budgeting, and policy development and Commanding General of Marine Expeditionary Force and Marine Corps Bases Japan, based in Okinawa prefecture.A seasoned Naval Flight Officer, LtGen Robling accumulated over 5400 hours in tactical flight hours in the F-4 Phantom and F/A-18D Hornet, flying in both peacetime operations and combat. His deep aviation expertise and operational leadership played a critical role in advancing Marine Corps capabilities during pivotal moments in U.S. military history.Following his retirement from the Marine Corps in 2014, LtGen Robling transitioned to the private sector as Chief Executive Officer of PKL Services, Inc, a globally recognized aerospace services and training company. As CEO he had full management responsibility for worldwide operations, strengthening PKL\'s reputation as an international leader in aviation maintenance and training services. After six successful years as CEO, he remained on PKL\'s Board of Directors for an additional year providing strategic oversight.LtGen Robling also served on the Board of Directors of Diligent Aircraft Company and as a consultant to aerospace innovators including Pratt and. Whitney Military Engines, Karem Aircraft, Insitu, and Power Ten, Inc. He further lends his expertise as a mentor and advisor to EvoNexus, a leading incubator for hight-tech startups developing technologies for Department of Defense applications. In addition to corporate engagement he proudly serves as a strategic advisor to the Proud Foundation, a non-profit supporting military families in the greater San Diego area.LtGen Robling current serves as Chairman of the Board for the Flying Leatherneck Historical Foundation. The foundation is in the process of building the Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum, located in the Great park, Irving CA. The museum is slated to open the 2nd quarter of 2027.
