About Terry Dopson
I’ve been working as a Language Arts Teacher at Imperial Middle School since August 2024. I’ve taught 6th grade, 7th grade, and reading intervention. We are also an International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme school, so I am trained in IB teaching techniques. I also rebooted our Theatre Arts class and directed our first production in Spring 2026. I am passionate about helping students build their voices as writers and thinkers. I want to instill the values of kindness, collaboration, and resilience into my students. Not only do I love my work in the classroom, but I also love being part of campus life.I am so grateful that over the last 10 years, I have worked with students at the middle school, high school, and college levels. The many opportunities I have been lucky to experience have allowed me to develop a versatile skill set. My hope is to use my skills and experience to give my students the best education I can possibly provide.
