As the Chairman I am one of five Tax Assessors appointed by the County Commissioners to ensure that all real and personal property in the county are appraised fairly and equitably for taxing purposes. As Tax Assessors we also appoint and evaluate the Chief Appraiser for the County. The Tax Assessors Office sets values of residential, commercial real property and personal property which includes airplanes, boats, equipment, etc. The county has over parcels and serves eight municipalities and the unincorporated county>
