I’m honoured to lead a division that plays a critical role in the daily lives of Toronto’s residents. From our vast network of parks and natural spaces to the community-focused recreational facilities, we are committed to providing services that contribute to the well-being, inclusivity, and resilience of our city.Some key responsibilities include- Leading the strategic direction, planning, and operations of Parks & Recreation to align with City Council priorities and community needs- Overseeing the stewardship of 1,500+ parks and 130+ recreational facilities across Toronto- Promoting a culture of performance, customer service excellence, equity, and inclusion- Driving change management and continuous improvement across the Division- Providing strategic guidance to senior leadership, the Mayor, and City Council on key policies and planning initiatives- Managing complex operating and capital budgets while developing long-term financial strategies- Advancing climate action and resilience through Parks and Recreation initiatives- Championing workplace health, safety, and labor relations.I’m excited to be part of a team that’s committed to improving the quality of life for Torontonians, creating inclusive, accessible spaces and programs that have a meaningful impact on our community.
