ABOUT TERRY OBAL

Hi, I’m Terry. I\'m honored to be part of SGS as its Specialty Testing Practice Leader, helping organizations make informed decisions that meet regulatory requirements and protect our environment and society. I\'ve been actively immersed in analytical chemistry, laboratory management, and environmental chemical consulting for over three decades. Throughout my career, I\'ve had the privilege of working with and learning from the best. And it\'s thanks to the countless experts I\'ve worked with to whom I owe my knowledge, my experience, and ultimately, my understanding of our customers\' needs. I\'ve learned that it\'s not just delivering accurate analytical test results that’s important, but also understanding the \"why\" behind the testing requirements to help our customers better navigate the complexities and implications of their lab results. I\'m excited to be helping to build a science strategy that\'s grounded in scientific integrity and technical validity, and always focusing on our responsibility to our customers, the public, and our environment. This mission extends to my responsibility to advocate for our customers and the public, communicating the value of current and sound science with regulatory authorities, as the laws and regulations enacted by them will determine the sustainability of our environment and society for generations to come.
