Terry Helton obtained a PhD in ChE from Texas A&M University in 1991 in Gas Conversion and has 32 years of combined service with Mobil and ExxonMobil. He has 22 years experience commercializing next generation fuels, lubes, and petrochemical processes and catalysts. He has held career development assignments in Coal Liquefaction (Exxon Donor Solvent), Shale Upgrading, Lube Hydroprocessing and FCC Asset Support. He is holder of 99 patents and is recipient of the Thomas Alva Edison Industrial Patent Award in 2007 (Olgone) and 2013 (TransPlus). He transferred from ExxonMobil Research & Engineering in New Jersey to Fairfax, Virginia in 2013 as a Catalyst Product Manager in the Technology Sales & Licensing Business Unit. In 2015, he transferred to Houston to the Catalyst & Licensing Global Business Unit. He retired from Exxon Mobil Corporation as Senior Business Development Manager after 32 years of service.
