About Terry Hammer

Terry Hammer serves as the Vice President of Global Manufacturing Engineering at Dana Holding Corporation, a role held since November 2018. Mr. Hammer has spent his entire career in the world of automotive engineering. He came to Dana from Ford Motor Company in April of 1994. Mr. Hammer has gained wide-ranging experiences within Dana Holding Corporation, beginning his career in the rapid prototyping department for the light vehicle group. He moved to applications engineering in 1998, and progressed to serve as application platform manager for the Ford Heavy Truck Line in 2002. Mr. Hammer spent 3 year serving as Global Implementation Manager for Cost Savings, where he delivered an average of $16M dollars in annual savings. In 2007, as he assumed the role of Chief Applications Engineer for Asia Pacific, where he led engineering services within the Asia Pacific group. In this role, he provided technical support to the sales team, served as the lead liaison pursuing new business opportunities, and serviced the customer from concept phase through product launch and post production with warranty reduction and cost-saving initiatives. Mr. Hammer accepted an international assignment in 2010, relocating to China to establish, build, and develop a new team in Dana’s new technology center in Wuxi. After 3 years overseas, Terry returned in 2013 to the corporate headquarters in Maumee, Ohio, serving as Global Director of Application Engineering. In this capacity, he oversaw all applications engineering, new product development, testing, and all related engineering services for the light vehicle group. A graduate of Purdue University, Mr. Hammer holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, graduating with the highest distinction.
