ABOUT TERRY D. HINDS

The Drug & Disease Discovery D3 Research Center and Hinds Lab spearhead advanced scientific research employing various sophisticated technologies and bioinformatic methodologies. Notably, our expertise includes the study of signaling pathways utilizing the PamGene PamStation. The Hinds Lab possesses specialized capabilities with this state-of-the-art instrument, enabling the measurement of hundreds of kinase activities within a single sample. Additionally, we have access to a unique PamGene PamChip designed for Nuclear Hormone Receptors (NHR), which assesses the binding of 155 coregulators to these receptors. This tool is instrumental in elucidating how pharmaceuticals influence nuclear receptor activity and subsequently regulate the transcription of specific genes. The Hinds Lab employs PamGene technology to elucidate pathological pathways and drug mechanisms. We hold patent-pending advancements utilizing this technology to pioneer personalized medicine. By analyzing an individual\'s proteins, our advanced methods can determine a patient’s responsiveness to a drug, encompassing over 500 affected kinase pathways. These insights are valuable for identifying drug off-target effects and side effects. All these parameters, including drug efficacy on a per-patient basis, are measurable through this method. We will respond via email within 7 days to arrange a suitable time for a Zoom meeting.Landmark discoveries from the Hinds Lab include:(1) the identification of the murine nuclear receptor gene for glucocorticoid receptor β (GRβ)(PMID: 20••••00) and the development of comprehensive tools for investigating this isoform;(2) the creation of the sole human GRβ antagonist (Patent WO 20••••••29 A1);(3) the discovery that bilirubin functions as a hormone capable of activating nuclear receptors;(4) the synthesis of a bilirubin-derived molecule named Thin Molecules and the patenting of its application for obesity and diabetes therapy (Patent Number WO 20••••••69 A1); and (5) the development of bilirubin-based nanoparticles as therapeutic agents for the treatment of MASLD, obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases (Patent Number WO-20••••••89 A1). Our latest pioneering research has uncovered novel hormones linked to obesity-associated comorbidities, which will soon be patented and published.
