About Terry Banken
Terry began his career in 1998 as a facilities engineer in Texas. He has worked both onshore and offshore oil and gas production facilities design projects, onshore production engineering projects in conventional EOR and unconventional reservoirs, served as senior artificial lift advisor, and led operations engineering teams both in the Domestic USA and internationally. He joined Occidental Petroleum in the Permian Basin, but has also worked in offshore Middle East locations. He served as Manager of EOR/IOR Pilots in Unconventional Reservoirs, leading teams to execute pilot projects to demonstrate commercial viability. He was appointed Chief Production Engineer in 2018 and Chief Facilities Engineer in 2020 for Oxy\'s worldwide operations.
