I have over 25+ years\' experience in IP strategy, patent prosecution, and due diligence. I work with Life Sciences and computational biology companies (from start-up to large pharma) and investors (from early stage Venture Capital to investment banks) to maximize value for the company\'s IP portfolio and create innovative long term IP strategies that align with their business strategy. For companies that use artificial intelligence/machine learning, I create a comprehensive IP strategy that can involve trade secrets and patenting for optimal strategical positioning.I lead a team of with deep expertise on machine learning and uses of machine learning and/or artificial intelligence in different industry verticals, including life sciences and robotics. As part of the IP strategy, we also work on data rights and licensing to ensure that data compliance and craft comprehensive ownership and/or licensing structure for data (e.g. patient data).I conduct IP due diligence for underwriters, venture capitalists, investors and for companies for investments. I work with large pharma companies to conduct diligence on assets when they are looking to partner and/or acquire the asset(s) or company. In addition, I draft legal opinions for freedom to operate positions, invalidity and non-infringement positions. I also conduct landscape (\"white space\") analysis of a market to advise on future research and development plans, assess risk for entry/expansion into that market space, and advise on the mitigation of risk.
