I am the Marketing & Research Coordinator for Shepherds Hill Academy, a CARF accredited, Georgia licensed outdoor therapeutic program & accredited Jr. & Sr. High School where we help kids who are dealing with behavioral difficulties. Shepherds Hill Academy is a loving, Christian therapeutic program with a focus on person-to-person mentoring and spiritual and biblical counsel. The program intentionally uses the outdoors and primitive living as an alternative to conventional treatment environments, removing modern distractions, and simplifying choices. Each student at Shepherds Hill Academy is taught survival techniques, teamwork and valuable back-to-basics life lessons in nature, as well as furthering their education, career planning and gaining biblical knowledge. Students learn to look to God for life direction, accept responsibility for personal decisions, address individual and family issues, and become invested in their own personal and academic growth.
