At Outcomes4Me, we are on a mission to democratize healthcare for all people affected by cancer. Our free app helps patients understand the NCCN guidelines for their specific cancer, as well as collate and organize their health records so they can be more empowered to be part of the treatment discussion with their oncology care team. We also provide information about the latest innovations and clinical trials, as well as an easy-to-use symptom tracker. And my favorite part: the app has growing resources related to the evidence and benefits of using integrative therapies like nutrition, exercise, mind-body practices and more to improve outcomes!Because the app is free, we are also on a mission to create a sustainable business model that will allow us to add more functionality in our current flagship cancers (breast, lung, and prostate) and expand to many more cancer types. My role in RWE Business Development will be a critical part of this path forward. I strongly believe that patients own their own healthcare data and many want to give back by allowing that data to be used for research. By ensuring we at Outcomes4Me are stewards of that data, protect anonymity and patient privacy rights, and always follow HIPAA guidelines, more research can be done that will lead to new treatments and new solutions that improve both quality of life and survival. And, this research is powered to be much more diverse and representative of the people who need help the most! This is where I will be focusing my time initially - in ways that real-world data can be used to help life sciences companies conduct this important research. I am so excited to be a part of Outcomes4Me and contributing to patient empowerment and improved outcomes for all cancer patients!
