   Acquisition and Contracting Officer responsibility to both Dept of Commerce and NOAA offices. Most recently I completed a detail as the Acquisition Liaison providing procurement and project mngt support to NOAA\'s Office of the Chief Administrative Officer. This office is responsibility for facilities, services and products to support NOAA staff offices across the US. On detail, I gained a greater understanding of our line offices approach to supplying goods and services to NOAA\'s internal clients - from initiating actions to administrating requirements which are essential for mission success in areas such as Spend Plans, Nationwide Building Security Services, and Transit Services. This experience opened a fresh perspective on the internal structure and processes of NOAA\'s Administrative Office, and the numerous logistical and operational tasks it undertakes each fiscal year. As a senior contracting officer, I have been responsible for all tasks associated with the procurement life cycle, along with guidance and review of work product as completed by journeyman, junior and contract support staff. Acquisition planning, preparation, review and approval of various awards types for products and services. Contract administration of awards for client line offices through contract closeout to complete the life cycle. Currently, I am the Contracting Officer responsible for workload management, review, obligation and approval for NOAA\'s Contract Close Out Team. The Tiger team of Six (6) contract specialists is tasked to closeout 70K+ contracts - POPs between FY02 - FY14 The team also provides acquisition support for the UDO Cancelling Funds effort for the Bureau. In FY15, our Closeout target goal: - stretch goal: achievement: 7900, exceeding our stretch goal. In FY16, our goal: - stretch goal: and achievement: 9800.
