About Terrence Murphy
I am the Co-President and Head of Public Market Investments at Franklin Templeton, where I lead the firm’s global public markets platform and oversee active investment strategies across equities, fixed income, and multi-asset solutions. I also serve as Chief Executive Officer of ClearBridge Investments.In these roles, I am responsible for driving investment performance, maintaining rigorous risk management, and expanding a broad suite of global investment capabilities. I focus on building and developing high-performing investment teams, strengthening our research, portfolio construction, and portfolio management platforms, and delivering durable, risk-adjusted returns for institutional and retail investors worldwide. I cultivate a collaborative, performance-oriented culture that encourages innovation, accountability, and long-term value creation.With more than 30 years in the asset and wealth management industry, I’ve helped shape and scale leading active investment franchises. I was instrumental in the creation and success of ClearBridge Investments and have held senior leadership positions at Franklin Templeton, Legg Mason, Citigroup Asset Management, and Citigroup’s Corporate and Investment Bank.I hold an MBA in Banking and Finance from Hofstra University and a BBA in Accounting from Adelphi University.
