ABOUT STEVEN TERRELL

I have a demonstrated history of working in higher education and am a prolific author with skills in quantitative and qualitative research methods and statistical analysis. My professional background includes a doctorate focused on Research Methodology / Information Systems / Statistics, an MBA, a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling and a BA in information systems. I have taught in these disciplines for 30+ years, and have chaired or served on the dissertation committees of over 100 doctoral graduates. I was awarded Professor Emeritus status upon retirement from Nova Southeastern University in June 2021, and am currently working as part-time Faculty at Middle Georgia State University. I served as chair of the Online Teaching and Learning Special Interest Group (SIG-OTL) for two three-year terms, and as a reviewer and on the editorial boards of several well-known journals including, among others, the Journal of Research on Technology in Education, The Qualitative Report, and the Journal of Educational Computing Research. I have conducted grant-funded research focusing on student motivation at the K-12 level, as well as factors contributing to attrition in graduate level online programs. I have written two widely used textbooks,\"Statistics Translated - Guidelines and Examples\" and \"Writing a Proposal for Your Dissertation\", both of which are in their 2nd edition. You can review these texts on Amazon at https://bit.ly/3GIqaSK. I have also served as the author or co-author of over 150 conference presentations and journal articles. I proudly served in the United States Army for four years, leaving at the rank of E-5. I have since been awarded a Cold War Cold War Victory Medal.
