When I first started my career in cybersecurity, I had no idea how far my interests for problem solving and investigations would take me. What began as an internship in information security at KeyBank quickly evolved into the foundations of an exciting journey in cybersecurity as I was exposed to security areas like risk mitigation, security operations, and threat intelligence. The internship led to my first full time opportunity where I was able to work across governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), data loss prevention (DLP), and insider threat management.At GitHub, I sharpened my skills in technical risk assessments, automation, and compliance frameworks like NIST CSF, using tools like Python and GitHub Actions to drive efficiency and strategic risk mitigation. But my path didn\'t stop there.Today, as a Technical Program Manager at the Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC), I help lead the charge in assigning and publishing CVEs, managing open-source security releases, and delivering critical security updates to millions of users through Patch Tuesday. My role is not just about addressing vulnerabilities—it\'s about empowering businesses and individuals to navigate the ever-changing cybersecurity landscape with confidence.Beyond my technical career, I’m deeply passionate about helping others break into tech. Through speaking engagements, mentorship, and content creation, I share insights on cybersecurity, industry trends, and strategies for landing dream jobs in tech. My ultimate goal?
