ABOUT TERRA KERANI MACPHAIL
Tân\'si! I am a communications and sales professional specializing in communication strategy, digital marketing, and graphic design. Having honed my skills through 18 years as a self-employed communication designer, I now focus on amplifying the vital message of Indigenous inclusion and economic reconciliation. As Director of Sales and Marketing at Indigenous Works (formerly known as the Aboriginal Human Resource Council), I support the organization\'s mandate to improve the inclusion and engagement of Indigenous people in the Canadian economy. A proud prairie-born Métis (Scottish, Maskēko/Swampy Cree, Polish, French, and a wee bit of Irish!), my family roots run deep in the historic Métis communities of Cumberland House, SK and the Red River, MB. The theme of my career has been a creative one in which building authentic relationships and mutually beneficial collaborations have been a priority. Prior to joining Indigenous Works, I was the Director of Business Development for SAY Magazine, a contemporary Indigenous lifestyle magazine. I helped to usher the publication over the threshold of two decades in print through art direction, content curation, editorial, partnerships and sales. My approach to sales is consultative and I take the time to fine-tune the right approach for partners who are genuinely looking to engage, recruit and retain Indigenous employees. My mission is to advance and uplift Indigenous voices and ensure healthy representation in workplaces. This mission drives my daily efforts to make a tangible difference in the lives of Indigenous people and their families. I love meeting new people and learning more about what creative projects you are working on, so please feel welcome to message me and let\'s chat!
